I don't think I've ever been so excited over an eBay purchase as when I won 9 copies of Faith No More's last studio album on vinyl for just over €1 each! Quite possibly the deal of the year for the Album of the Year because these beauties are worth £30 and more on eBay.co.uk. Luckily for me I regularly trawl foreign sites too (these came from Italy) and noticed 10 of them on a multiple item listing (Dutch auction), which are always ripe for a bargain since everyone pays the lowest successful bid. The record is very rare because 1997 was probably when vinyl sales were at their lowest; long after CDs had taken over but before the great revival when everyone and their mate wanted to be a DJ.

Anyway one of the records is spinning on my turntable now and it's mint, unplayed and sounds ace! I was worried that it would be a nasty cheap pressing like some of the other albums I own from that era (R.E.M.'s Up sounds terrible but then that's an album for a digital medium if ever I heard one). Yes, I know, I'm an audio nerd! Whatcha gonna do about it?! I think this makes my FNM collection almost complete and that's a lot of records so forgive me while I do a little dance :)
